SI4SD | The Role of Local Administrations in Social Innovation is the research project started by Clara Medina G in September 2018, aimed at understanding and promoting Social Innovation to achieve Sustainable Development, focusing on the role that local administrations can play in this process.
In November 2019 the project officially evolved into a joint PhD hosted at KU Leuven and UCM Universities, funded as an FWO Fellowship awarded to Clara.
Clara Medina G is a Madrilian researcher and urban facilitator with a transdisciplinary background in architecture, urbanism, planning and innovation passionate about sustainable development, participatory design and the social dimension of the built environment. She is convinced that only by innovating in relations and synergies among urban actors will societies be able to tackle present and future challenges.
